Passengers is an experimental adventure with the goal of exploring social themes through the laws of semiotics. In the game, you follow a mysterious train full of bizarre passengers and your task is to help the train driver solve their problems and free their souls. Uncover their secrets, read between the pixels and experience dozens of little adventures. Don’t expect your common train trip. Passengers are a metaphysical ride – a surreal journey, where present, past, reality and fiction are one. Across the nights, you can meet up to 120 different random passengers, so each playthrough is unique.
The title was created in free time with a little team of enthusiasts. My job was to create the pixel art of the background, train and menu.
